Wedding Lessons

Dancing at your Wedding doesn’t have to be a scary thing! It would be our pleasure to help make your special day even more special!

We offer several options for private lessons for the happy couple, and, can usually use “your” song in addition to adding choreography to make the first dance truly memorable. You will both learn the basics of social dancing to keep you on the dance floor after your first dance as a married couple.

For the wedding party, we can tailor a group class package that will teach the basics of social dancing to help ensure everyone is up dancing and enjoying themselves at the reception!

Performing/Competition

  • Performance training is another way to further your dance experience and ability. Performance Choreography is available for your event or simply to further your dance training.

  • Competitions and Fun Trips are other services that DWTDS offers. Travis specializes in taking beginning students to the competition level. Competing is a fabulous way to show what you have been learning in your private lessons and test yourself against other dancers of your age and skill level from all around the country. Specifically, ballroom dance competitions are held in and out of the United States and the majority that DWTDS attends are sponsored/governed by the National Dance Council of America. The competitions are usually held at large hotels or resorts. They are designed to promote first-time competitors as well as the highest amateur and professional standards of dancing.

Off-Site Group Classes

Off-site Instruction is typically a group class (or classes) taught by Travis at a private function (not related to DWTDS) and are held away from DWTDS. Examples would be an anniversary, graduation, birthday party, wedding reception, team-building event, corporate function, fundraiser, club event, small group get-together, and more.

Classes are typically 45 or 90 minutes, and pricing is based on the projected total number of people that would be attending the class.

Travis will bring his own music and player. Travel is included up to 20 miles one-way. Further than 20 miles one-way is an additional fee.

If you are interested in scheduling a private function group class, you can check it out here, or give us a call at 541-62DANCE.
