Getting Started

Think you have two left feet? Never danced before? No problem- EVERYONE can learn to dance! Promise. Our mission at Dance With Travis Dance Studio is to provide students of all levels with not just dance classes, but a unique experience in which the student can grow both mentally and physically as a dancer.

Here at Dance With Travis Dance Studio, we have a passion for the art of dance and for helping others discover their inner dancer. Are you ready to start dancing? Here's how to begin-

  • Read the latest COVID-related Studio Guidelines, HERE, and on this page right after this section, prior to signing up for any lessons.

  • Begin with the Introductory Special. It’s a 45-min. Private Lesson for a single or couple that will introduce you to the basics of social partner dancing. This gives you a chance to see what you like about dancing, what your goals might be, etc. You can register for the Introductory Special online HERE.

  • Once you’ve registered, we will typically call you (within 24 hours on normal business days) to schedule your first lesson.

  • Come to the studio, learn the basics, and have FUN while dancing!

Wedding Lessons

Dancing at your Wedding doesn’t have to be a scary thing!

It would be our pleasure to help make your special day even more special!

We offer several options for private lessons for the happy couple, and, can usually use “your” song in addition to adding choreography to make the first dance truly memorable.

You will both learn the basics of social dancing to keep you on the dance floor after your first dance as a married couple.

For the wedding party, we can tailor a group class package that will teach the basics of social dancing to help ensure everyone is up dancing and enjoying themselves at the reception!

If you are interested in taking wedding dance lessons you can click here for options and prices or give us a call at 541-600-2500 to discuss your specific needs and find out how to proceed.

Performing & Competition

Performance training is another way to further your dance experience and ability.

Performance Choreography is available for your event or simply to further your dance training.

Competitions and Fun Trips are other services that DWTDS offers. Travis specializes in taking beginning students to the competition level. Competing is a fabulous way to show what you have been learning in your private lessons and test yourself against other dancers of your age and skill level from all around the country.

Specifically, ballroom dance competitions are held in and out of the United States and the majority that DWTDS attends are sponsored/governed by the National Dance Council of America. The competitions are usually held at large hotels or resorts. They are designed to promote first-time competitors as well as the highest amateur and professional standards of dancing.

Private/Off-Site

Off-site Instruction is typically a group class (or classes) taught by Travis at a private function (not related to DWTDS) and can be held at or away from DWT’s studio.

Examples would be an anniversary, graduation, or birthday party, team-building event, corporate functions, fundraisers, club events, small group get-togethers, and more.

Classes are typically 45 or 90 minutes, and pricing is based on the projected total number of people that would be attending the class.

Please note that there is a per day/per event “off-site” fee that is a separate charge from the class/teaching fee depending on whether your event is at or away from the studio. In addition, the price structure changes if the event is on a weekday or a weekend.

If you are interested in scheduling a private function group class,

give us a call at 541-600.2500.
